ANNUAL REVIEW
Annual
review is a review of the past and new planning of future.
The annual
review in my life of 2014-2015 is when I was in the final year of my B.com - under graduation. After enjoying a bit
in second year of graduation, I was looking forward to enjoy to the extent in
the final year.
In this post
I’ll say step-by-step through what I do every December to help plan the next
year.
resolution:
Resolution is something which I try to follow…our life has many twist and turns
so just live in present is my motive.
many goals: I
has many goals in my life so I want to satisfy some of them every year.
My small annual review
What all good things happen to you this year?
I wanted to
finish my bcom with certain percentage which I achieved. After I wanted to join
nitte for my future studies I wrote both CAT & MAT. I successfully cleared
both exam and got management seat in JKSHIM Nitte. I also completed a course
called as ‘diploma in foreign accounting’ (DIFA).
What all bad things happen to you this year?
After my bcom there was 4 months of gap to start MBA
classes and that 3 months of gap was really bad to sit at home and do nothing. in
degree i also had one bike accident because of that I has to miss my internal
exams and also I missed 2 weeks of college.
What are the planning for next year?
Nothing
much, just want to improve myself and want to gain more confidence to
face all the obstacles and I want to improve myself specially in communication
skills.

Experiment of Knowledge and communication skills with creative ideas Day 7
As the six days of experiment was well past and was successful in my life. And in this seventh day I tried to recall all the things that I learnt in those past six days. And also implemented in my life.
In this seventh day I read more news about the business because it will help me a lot to build my carrier. I think that it is better to know the news because it will help us to know the things which are not entered in the text books. By reading news I not only improve my knowledge but also it helped to to improve my reading skills, grammar and communication.
By this there came to an end of my experiment of my Seventh day.
Experiment of Knowledge and communication skills with creative ideas Day 6
The fifth day was very much of excitement to me. And in this sixth day I planned to continue the experiment of the previous day. After experiencing the importance of knowledge, now this day again I tried to improve my reading skills. I read not only the news paper but also I read the news from the internet.
This helped me a lot to know about the world. And also I came to know the changes happening in the world. As a MBA I must know the facts which are happening in and around me.
Now I not only read the headlines but also I go to the depth of that news. By this there was the end of my experiment of the sixth day.
Experiment of Knowledge and communication skills with creative ideas Day 5
The fourth day was well past experimenting with the help of my friend. And in this fifth day one more new thing I adopted in my life that is reading daily news paper. In my past I was reading only the headlines and that too sometimes. And now I get news paper in my college and I read the interesting news. And by this I felt that by reading news paper I will come to know lot thing which are happening around me
By the end of the fifth day I thought that by reading the daily news paper it will help me to build my carrier. This was also one of the lessons I learnt in this day.
By this way there was an end of my experiment in the fifth day.
Experiment of Knowledge and communication skills with creative ideas Day 4
In the fourth day I told my roommate we should have to speak in English in our room so we can improve our communication skills. There were some of the negative statement which solved by using this method. And thus the experiment has helped me and my friend to improve our skills and knowledge.
By the end of the fourth day I thought that expressing our views with others will help me and others a lot in their life. This was one of the lessons I learnt in by the end of the fourth day.
Experiment of Knowledge and communication skills with creative ideas Day 3
In the third day. And in the third day when I was thinking about the topic I got a question in my mind. And this was the day where I clarified my doubts approaching my professor for the first time. And by this I thought that this is the first step to improve my skills. And I had set this in my mind. And I thought of continuing this in my life.
In this way there was end of my third day’s experiment
Experiment of Knowledge and communication skills with creative ideas Day 2
In my second day of my experiment. In this new second day I tried to implement the thing which I thought in the first day. The first way I tried was observing my friends in my classroom.
In this way I made my own experiment in the second day.
Experiment of Knowledge and communication skills with creative Ideas
Experiment of Knowledge and communication skills with creative ideas Day 1
This is the first day of experiment. When I thought of experimenting my knowledge and the communication skills, the first thing came to my mind was in which way I can improve my communication skills and knowledge. where I need to be improve. i know that there are many ways to get a solution for my experiment. The main way is Google. But I tried to think practically that where I can improve my communication skills. This way the experiment made by me in the first day.

COMMON SENSE
Common sense, it has been said, is the most uncommon thing
in the world. It is a rare commodity that is not exactly mother or native wit.
This is only a clever paradox, which is definitely not true. Tom, Dick and
Harry have it. It is the one virtue that is used by us at every step. Even
animals have it, which it seems to instinctively show at unexpected moments.
We often look upon common sense as a blind instinct. It is a
quality that neither wealth nor learning can confer on a man. It is supposed to
come as a gift from above, and that one is born with,—a sharp insight into
matters and promptitude that helps us much in the practical field of work.
Education or book learning, no doubt, makes us sophisticated
but does not engender common sense. Somebody called Mr. Pickwick (of Charles
Dickens) from the road; Pickwick looked upwards at the sky.
Albert Einstein was a very great scientist. But he made two
holes in the cage—one big and the other small—so that his two cats, one big and
other very small (mother and the young one kitten), may come out through the
two respective holes. Did he lack common sense? For this reason, common sense
is often spoken of as a mystery.
Common sense is only the combination of experience with
intelligence. Common sense is something different from a laborious process
of reasoning. It implies swift decision, a capacity to do the right thing
without fumbling. An intelligent man, when guided by a wide experience of life,
develops a spontaneous reflex power to act quickly and sensibly in any
situation.
PHYSICAL FITNESS
The popular saying “health is wealth” gives a large
meaning to our life as health is considered the most valuable and precious for
every individual. Good health means not only a state of absence of disease in
the body but a complete physical, mental, social as well as spiritual well
being of an individual.
A healthy environment facilities good health but it is the
unhealthy environment due to over population, excessive industrialization, air
and water pollution etc. that is threatening the life with many dreadful
disease. In the contemporary India many people have been gripped by the clutch
of disease like cancer, diabetes, hypertension, AIDS etc. although people of
ancient India were said to be relatively healthy. At present people are
suffering from various mental disorders also because they are racing blindly
towards fame and having only one aim in life that is to achieve the big status
in society.
Today competition in each field is so intense that nobody
can escape from the hectic schedule of life. Earlier, a few decades ago, people
used to work differently, enjoying the different color of life. But it is
noticed now that people are working under stressful condition and without
satisfaction, which is detrimental to their physical fitness. As a result they
are suffering from many disease.
Physical fitness is very necessary for a healthy and tension
free life. Physical fitness includes diet, exercise and sleep. These three
basic things have their own importance in each individual’s life and everyone
should be sensible with regard to these for a healthy life.
MUSIC
Music is one of the most important and powerful things in my
life. My life without melodies would be totally empty. Listening
to different tunes helps me to de-stress, relax and it can also
help to motivate me in trying times. I love listening to music while on my way
to college, as I feel it helps me to prepare for the day that waits. I think it
is like the memories to my life as it has been there throughout everything with
me.
When I was younger, I didn’t have the great love for musical as I do now. I mainly listened to whatever was playing in the background or what my parents were listening to. I didn’t have much of a care for musical compositions. There was sometimes a little bit of pop music thrown in to the mix here and there, but that’s really all I liked back then. Whether I was in the car, the house, or anywhere else there was sure to be some Beatles, Buddy Holly, or the Dubliners constantly playing somewhere in the background. At the time I didn’t care for that genre of music much, but now as I’m older, I enjoy it as it allows me to reminisce on memories from times of my childhood. Once I hit my teenage years music became my life and gradually started to inhibit my soul.

I believe music has the ability to convey all sorts of emotion. Whether the emotion is joy and happiness or sadness and despair through rhythms, harmonies and the lyrics music shows it. The song “A little bit longer” by Nick Jonas is such an emotional and inspiring song that when I hear it, I always come close to tears, especially when I watch it being played live. The effect that music can have on our emotions is tremendous, as it can bring people to floods of tears or bursts of laughter.
The musical images that music and song are able to create are amazing. Music has the ability to transport me back in time just like a time machine. It lets me revisit lost and forgotten moments in life. Songs can paint a picture, for example in classical and country music where a story is being told. The music in classical music tells a story without lyrics which is an immensely powerful thing. I feel that this applies to the saying “music imitates life and life imitates music”.
Recently song writing has wandered its way into my life. I believe there is no better way to express myself than through song. After a bad day, it’s nice to be able to sit down and write about it. It can make all your problems just disappear and float away. Listening to other musical artists that I like gives me inspiration.
SKILLS
A skill is the learned ability to carry
out a task with pre-determined results often within a given amount of time, energy,
or both. In other words, the abilities that one possesses. Skills can
often be divided into domain-general and domain-specific skills. For
example, in the domain of work, some general skills would include time
management, teamwork and leadership, self motivation and
others, whereas domain-specific skills would be useful only for a certain job.
Skill usually requires certain environmental stimuli and situations to assess
the level of skill being shown and used.
People need a broad range of skills in order to contribute
to a modern economy. A joint ASTD and U.S. Department of
Labor study showed that through technology, the workplace is
changing, and identified 16 basic skills that employees must have to
be able to change with it.
Labour skills
Skilled workers have long had historical import as electricians, masons, carpenters, blacksmiths, bakers, brewers, coopers, printers and
other occupations that are economically productive. Skilled workers were often
politically active through their craft guilds.
Life skills
Life skills
Life skills are problem-solving behaviors that are used
appropriately and responsibly in the management of personal affairs. They are a
set of human skills, acquired via learning (teaching) or direct
experience, that are used to handle problems and questions commonly encountered
in daily human life. The subject varies greatly depending on societal norms and
community expectations.
People skills
According to the Portland Business Journal, people
skills are described as:
understanding ourselves and moderating our responses
talking effectively and empathizing accurately
building relationships of trust, respect and
productive interactions.
A British definition is “the ability to communicate
effectively with people in a friendly way, especially in business.”The term is
not listed yet in major US dictionaries.
The term people skills is used to include both psychological
skills and social skills, but is less inclusive than life skills.
Social skills
Social skill is any skill facilitating interaction and communication with
others. Social rules and relations are created,
communicated, and changed in verbal and nonverbal ways. The process
of learning such skills is called socialization.
Soft skills
Soft skills is a sociological term relating to a person's "EQ"
(Emotional Intelligence Quotient), the cluster of personality traits, social
graces, communication, language, personal habits, friendliness, and
optimism that characterize relationships with other people. Soft skills
complement hard skills (part of a person's IQ), which are the occupational
requirements of a job and many other activities.
Hard skills
Hard skills are any skills relating to a specific task or
situation. These skills are easily quantifiable unlike soft skills which are
related to one's personality.
Mastering skills
Mastery pertains to perfecting a particular skill set. To
reach mastery, authors Malcolm Gladwell and Robert Greene claim that 10,000
hours of work will have to be put into training.
SMILE
A smile is
a facial expression formed primarily by flexing the muscles at the
sides of the mouth. Some smiles include a contraction of the muscles
at the corner of the eyes, an action known as a "Duchenne
smile". Smiles performed without the eye contraction can be perceived as
"fake".
Among humans,
smiling is an expression denoting pleasure, sociability, happiness,
or amusement. It is distinct from a similar but usually involuntary
expression of anxiety known as a grimace. Although
cross-cultural studies have shown that smiling is a means of communication
throughout the world, there are large differences between different
cultures, with some using smiles to convey confusion or embarrassment.
A smile
seems to have a favorable influence upon others and makes one likable and more
approachable. In the social context, smiling and laughter have
different functions in the order of sequence in social situations:
Smiling is
not a pre-laughing device and is a common pattern for paving the way to
laughter;
Smiling can
be used as a response to laughter in the previous turn.
Smiling is a
signaling system that evolved from a need to communicate information of many
different forms. One of these is advertisement of sexual interest. Female
smiles are appealing to heterosexual males, increasing physical attractiveness
and enhancing sex appeal. However, recent research indicates a man's smile
may or may not be most effective in attracting heterosexual women, and that
facial expressions such as pride or even shame might be more effective. The
researchers ignored the role of smiles in other sexual preferences.

I found Rs. 1000 note on Ground…..!
One day I found a 1000 Rupee note on the ground, for a while
I was happy. And I thought to pick it or not. First I thought that if I pick it
I will use for my personal use. Later I thought it is wrong.
The first thought came to my mind was to spend all 1000 rupees on my personal
use. Later again I thought 1000 Rs to the poor people it will be much more
useful to them than me. Who were literally uneducated and hungry and
staying in the hut.
After some time I found a poor family who where in search of food. i given that
1000 rupees to them. There the happiness which I saw in their face was a real
happiness which I got in my life. Here by this situation I found the real
happiness of helping others.

SOCIAL AWARENESS
To me, it
simply means that you realize that there are problems or issues that are faced
by groups of people in society that you do not belong to. For example, if
you are male, social awareness may consist of understanding that there are ways
in which society keeps women down. If you are rich, it may consist of
understanding that there are real problems facing the poor that are not of
their own making.
Social awareness is crucial to success in a
modern, complex world. A person needs to know how to code-switch, for
example. This means that when you are in an academic environment you
speak very differently than when you are with your friends. You do not
want to talk to the person interviewing you for a job like you would your
buddies.
In general,
I think of social awareness as a term that means someone is familiar with the
social constructs and culture around them. A socially aware person might
understand certain slang. They might be more familiar with what titles or
words are taboo. A person who is socially aware is far less likely to
make embarrassing verbal blunders.

SPORTSMAN SPIRIT
Life is
full of failures and successes but it’s our choice to decide how we want to
take the outcome as well as our identity. We play many games like cricket,
football or any other game, it’s impossible to win every match we are bound to
loose or win. Sportsman spirit is the act of accepting one’s success with
humility. This helps us to learn from our failures and disappointments which
helps us to achieve success next time. Sportsman spirit is not only for players
who play for their country or any club, sportsman spirit is also for every fan
that supports their team. On 5th October 2015 India vs. South Africa 2nd t20
match Indian fans thrown bottles when India is in loosing position. Ironically
the series between India and South Africa is named after two men who believed
in complete non-violence - Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela!!
